Up here in the southeast Michigan area we have been graced with a few glimpses of warm weather, a nice reminder that spring is nearly here. As the weather continues to warm up, we will notice an increase of pedestrians on the road.
Perhaps you have seen it all. Folks singing and shimmying as they drive to work, and parents taking their eyes off the road for too long while dealing with rowdy kids in the back seat. Now there is a new distracted driving phenomenon to contend with: taking selfies.
All too often we hear of tragic automobile accidents, both locally in and near the Detroit, Michigan, as well as throughout the United States. Unfortunately, tragedy struck the family of a 61 year old woman who died following a car accident while in transport in a medical vehicle similar to an ambulance.
